Officer-in-Charge unlawfully demands pastor to halt religious worship activities

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the pastor, his lawyers, and two other pastors arrived at the Padukka Police Station for an inquiry with the OIC. 07 Buddhist monks, 02 villagers, the Chairman of the kovil were also present. The OIC claimed the Christians’ worship activities were a disturbance to their neighbours (no such complaint had been made). He further demanded the pastor stop conducting worship activities inside the estate and claimed that the pastor needed to obtain permission from the estate manager if he wished to enter the estate in the future and continue his worship activities.
